Artist's Statement

My background with Greek, Indian, and other cultures
has allowwed me to develop my sense of color and line, and has influenced by inner expression. I have explored different techniques using oils, acrylics, drawings, printmaking, and collage. A series of themes and compositions of still lifes and of human figures are done using line and color that create positive and negative patterns of intense color and design.

My series of paintings and murals of Greek gods and goddesses depict mythological themes. I have also completed paintings on Indian subjects. My work with the human figure and form is continuous and evolving.

Most recently I have created a series of biographical paintings containing elements in the lives of outstanding individuals. Utilizing the language of art, I speak of those unique personalities that have intrigued me. They have inspired me, and in turn, I have recorded their achievements and life events.
