The Rev. Stephen Lawrence will be Formally
Installed as the New Pastor of the Transfiguration
Greek Orthodox Church of Lowell, MA.


LOWELL - The Rev. Stephen Lawrence will be formally installed as the new pastor of the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church on Aug. 5 in conjunction with the parish's annual observance of its Feast Day.

His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios, the presiding hierarch of the Metropolis of Boston, will install Fr. Stephen during the Great Vespers service, which begins at 6 p.m. A reception will follow downstairs in the church hall.

Fr. Stephen became the parish's new pastor on June 7, after serving in various positions for the Metropolis of Boston. Previously, he served as the assistant priest at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Raleigh, N.C.

Fr. Stephen resides in Lawrence with his wife, Kelley, and son, Alec, 3.
