When Ted Arend, a member of the Watertown Parish, was appointed to serve on the committee that spearheaded a million dollar upgrade of the Diocesan Camp and Retreat Center two years ago, he said: "Here is a unique opportunity to combine my background in camping and hiking, my love of children and my knowledge of construction to benefit thousands of children for generations to come." Ted Arend has spent hundreds of hours assisting Metropolitan Methodios in this important task the results of which can be seen this summer when more than 500 of our children will attend the BDC program.
