On the occasion of the significant distinction of the Greek film "Akadimia Platonos" (Plato's Academy) at the Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland, Athens Mayor Nikitas Kaklamanis sent his congratulations to the cast and crew.

"
The fact that the 'Akadimia Platonos' film has won three top awards at the highly regarded Locarno International Film Festival has made us very proud. The acting depth of Antonis Kafetzopoulos, the sharp directorial eye of Philippos Tsitos, the intelligent script of Alexis Kardaras and the hard work of all contributors to the film have undoubtedly given a breath of optimism and an uplifting promise to the future of our film culture. My warmest congratulations to all."
