Nikolaos Avlonas, Ph.D.



Nikos Avlonas is an Adjunct Professor of Management at the American College of Greece (Deree College-the largest American educational organization in Europe). Among his areas of expertise are corporate social responsibility (CSR), and total quality and supply-chain management. Additionally, he lectures for executive MBA programs at the French International College of Business and Management (ESCEM) and at the Sheffield Hallam University in the U.K.

As a management consulstant specializing in business excellence performance, he has carried out numerous projects for leading organizations in Greece and Europe, including Fortune Global 500 Companies such as BP Consumer Europe, Dell Computers, McCain, LLoyds TSB, TNI, Eurobank Ergasias, Deutsche Post, and Famar, as well as with the 2003 European Quality Award Winner and Role Model Organization, CocoMat.
His business expertise has garnered him prestigious posts as Special Advisor and Senior Assessor for European organizations developing CSR supported by the European Commission and United Nations.

Within Greece, Professor Avlonas has served as Spescial Advisor at the Hellenic Management Association, the largest business management association in Greece, responsible for the certification and development of business excellence in Greek organizations. Hellenic organizations have appointed him to positions as an independent board member.

His expertise extends to executive training. He has vast experience in teaching over 1000 managers in both the public and private sectors.

During his professional career he has been a sought-after speaker, delivered lectures throughout Europe at business and scientific conferences.
