Bill Gatzoulis Bill Gatzoulis is a native of Greece, born in Pentalofos of the Kozani prefecture in Macedonia. In 1955 he emigrated to the United States with his family. He graduated from the engineering program of the University of New Hampshire in 1968 and is now a retired electrical engineer from the US Department of the Navy. Mr. Gatzoulis has been active in the Greek-American community for many decades, serving on the Parish Council of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Dover NH, as president of Thesseum Chapter #248 of The Order of AHEPA, and as president of the Pentalofos Society. Currently he heads up the Hellenic Society Paideia of New Hampshire which aims to preserve and promote Hellenic heritage, history, language, art, culture, and religion in New Hampshire (http://paideianh.home.attbi.com), and is actively involved in the Pan-Macedonian Association in the US (http://www.panmacedonian.info). Mr. Gatzoulis has contributed several articles to HCS: "What’s in a Name?" an article about the controversy surrounding the official name of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia; and "95th Anniversary Celebrated by Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Dover, NH." |
