Call for Cypriot Talent
Cypriot star Peter Polycarpou, best known for 'Birds of a Feather' is looking for new generation Cypriot actors for a hilarious new radio play featuring the famous fryer Andrikos called 'The Brox'.

Thanks to generous support from the Bank of Cyprus, Peter Polycarpou is producing the play for broadcast initially on LGR (103.3 FM) this autumn.

There are also plans to develop the play for a wider radio audience.

Taking the lead role of Andrikos, Peter, who will also direct the play, is looking to cast the following roles.

* Joanna - Andrikos' wife, in her forties with a strong Cypriot accent.

* Maria - their daughter, in her early twenties with a North London accent.

* Nigos - their eldest son, in his late teens with a North London accent.

* Dagis - their youngest son, pre-teens with a North London accent.

"Whilst very funny, the play touches on a number of serious and uniquely Cypriot themes, giving all the characters a real depth and sense of purpose," explained Peter. "This is a tremendous opportunity for budding actors from our community. They'll pick up professional experience which could set them on the road to stardom."
