Basil Douros

Basil Douros, an historian, is the author of Carved in Stone, and Roots of the Blackthorn Tree. According to the publisher, both books have won awards from the annual Sacramento Publishers and Authors Awards competition, and have gone on to reach a national audience. On April 5, 2003, Roots of the Blackthorn Tree--the Irish Heritage, won the Bronze Overall/Best Book Award and Best Drama/fiction award. Douros is working on his next book, These Are the Things Papoo Told Me.
