Hellenic Business Network (HBN) is pleased to announce that submissions to the HBN Big Idea Competition (HBN-BIC) WarmUps are now being accepted online at www.hbngroup.org/BICWarmUps. The HBN-BIC is a business plan competition in the tradition of the MIT100K but everyone is eligible to participate regardless of student status or affiliation to Greece. For more information please visit http://www.hbngroup.org/bic. During this first phase of the business plan competition "HBN-BIC WarmUps" we will admit and evaluate 1200-word executive summaries of business ideas electronically submitted through our system. The five best ideas submitted for our WarmUps will win $500 each! Send us your business ideas by viewing our instructions and creating an account with HBN at http://www.hbngroup.org. You can also find team members using our BIC forum at www.hbngroup.org/bicforum. Alternatively, you can become a mentor to a team or a judge of the competition by emailing hbn-bic@hbngroup.org. Please also join us at our Welcome Hellene Students to Boston - 2007 reception on Saturday October 20, 2007 at the Greek Consulate on 86 Beacon Street in Boston at 7:00 pm. At this event, we will describe the competition in detail and answer your questions. The deadline for HBN-BIC WarmUps online submission of executive summaries is November 15, 2007 at 12 noon and the awards ceremony will take place on December 6, 2007. Teams submit full business plans, stage oral presentations and attend interviews with judges. This process culminates with the final award in early May. All teams including those that did not play or win in the WarmUps can participate in the BigDeals Competition. Remember that this is a competition open to all, and the best ideas win! |
