Southern California Auxiliary Honors Helen Lambros, Establishes Scholarship in
Her Name

Helen Labros, Mary Jo Blue, and
Carol Masters at "Star for a Night."
On November 7, 2004 the PAOI Southern California Auxiliary honored one of its founding members and Co-chairman of the PAOI Board of Trustees, Helen Liacouras Lambros at a testimonial dinner held at Burbank's Paramount Studios. The theme for the evening, "Star for a Night," honored Lambros' active commitment to her church, community, and the arts.

In a rousing production, produced and directed by Mary Jo Blue, highlights of her many achievements were presented in song. This seemed only fitting as Lambros, herself, has been the producer-director of numerous musical celebrations. Among the 235 guests were members of the Lambros family from Philadelphia and London. The co-chairs of the event were Christine Haidos, Sophie Mastor, and Bess Pappas. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Master of Arts in Orthodox Christian Studies of PAOI. In addition, the PAOI Southern California Auxiliary will establish a scholarship fund in honor of Helen Lambros to benefit students enrolled in the educational programs of PAOI.
