The Olympic Arts Festival celebrates the Olympic Movement and demostrates the cultural aspects of the Olympiad in showcasing the work of artists from the international community. The Olympic Truce was initiated by Greece in 776 B.C. In 2003 a UN resolution on Olympic Truce was adopted by its 190 member-states. Today the Olympic Truce has become an expression of mankind's desire to build a world based on human scale, reconciliation and tolerance. In celebration of the return of the Olympics to their roots and the closing of the Athens Olympic year 2004 the Embassy of Greece in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Commission present the exhibition
