Hellenic Society Paideia of Maine to Offer Greek Classes for All Levels Adult Learners with Nationally Recognized Instructor Eleni Ntrivalas



Hellenic Society Paideia of Maine is offering Greek classes for all level adult students. The Modern Greek courses are taught at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Parish House in Portland. The instructor, Eleni Ntrivalas was born and educated in Greece where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies from University of Athens. She has also a Master’s in Education in Curriculum Studies from DePaul University in Chicago. She has an extensive experience in teaching Greek as a second or foreign language to all age groups, from pre-school students to adults. She has served in numerous Greek schools. She has been a speaker at conferences regarding teaching Greek as a second or foreign language. She was one of the authors of the textbook “My Greek – level II, volume I” – a nationwide textbook issued by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.

This is twelve week Modern Greek Program. The total hours of instruction are 15 (75 minutes per week) from 6: 30 p. m. – 7: 45 p. m. Classes will start the week of March 3rd 2014 and will end the last week of May.
