American College of Greece Announces New
Study-Travel in Greece Cultural Program--
Deadline Extended to May 1, 2010



(Athens, Deree College) The American College of Greece is proud to announce the launch of The Heritage Greece Program, a first-of-its-kind birthright Greece program made possible through a grant from the National Hellenic Society. View and download PDF flyer (407Kb).

Heritage Greece will take place between June 11th-25th, 2010. It is a free, two-week cultural immersion program open to students 18-26 years old who have never been to Greece. Applicants are encouraged to visit www.acg.edu (or the program's facebook entry at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=427019869096&ref=ts) to learn more and apply online through May 1, 2010.

For two weeks, the students will be exposed to a series of academic and recreational activities. Heritage Greece students will attend a specially designed course entitled the 'Greek Cultural Experience' and will receive three academic credits that can be transfered to their home institution in the U.S. In addition, Heritage Greece students will be teamed up with seven DEREE students who will participate in the same activities. All participants will travel throughout Greece and Athens and will have the opportunity to experience modern Greece. Among the sites to be visited are Athens, Mykonos, Delphi, Galaxidi, Sounio, Lagonisi, and Marathon.
