Ta Pethia is a group of very talented musicians, which makes every musical event they present memorable. This popular orchestra is among the many well-known and gifted groups based in New England. Ta Pethia are artists, either first or second generation Greek -Americans, proud of their Hellenic heritage and committed to preserving it through the music their parents or grandparents have passed on to them. One of their recently produced recordings. To Pethia Aft Kefi. features popular Greek songs, which have been very well received by the community. They have dedicated their recording to their "wives and families for their continuous support and understanding." Their enthusiasm and dedication to their culture and music is indeed evident in the spirit of their music. According to Ta Pethia, "We strive to preserve our ethnic culture and thus dedicate this glimpse of our past to our children and their future."

Jim Kafasis is the manager for Ta Pethia. He delights audiences with his clarinet, flute, saxophone and keyboard. Those who have experienced a performance by Ta Pethia talk about Chuck Koustas, the lead vocalist who also does a fantastic job with the bouzouki. He is complemented greatly by vocalists John Papadonis who also plays drums and percussion, Jim Varetinos, an accomplished guitarist and strong lead vocalist, and Ross Richardson who is admired for his execution on bass and bouzouki. Ta Pethia's repertoire consists of the following folk dances and songs: Kalamatiana, Zeibekika/Laika, Tsamikia Epirotika and Sta Tria.
