Vasilopita Cutting Held by Greek Societies in New York |

Over thirty college students and faculty attended the Vasilopita (Cutting of the New Year’s Bread) on Thursday, January 28th afternoon at Marrilac Hall, SJU. The event was sponsored by the POA Modern Greek Language Honor Society under the auspices of the Pan Arcadian Federation of America and the Greek Club. A new interest in the study of Modern Greek language and culture is being generated under the leadership of POA president Bridget Barry and Greek Club president Constantine Gurlakis. A Pashaliatiko Glendi (Easter celebration) is being planned for April 8th on campus. |
