The famous Greek shipping family of Kulukundis is the source of inspiration for a clever combination of travel book, Kulukundis' autobiography, and a collection of the family's stories. These stories are imbued with the sophistication and wit of a Greek expatriate, but at the same time they delve deep into the motivating passions of the Aegean Islands. |

About the Author Elias B. Kulukundis was born in London, journeyed to Greece when he was one (on the Orient Express) and came to America when he was three. Nevertheless, he feels that he grew in a Greek world. Once a shipping financier as well as a writer, he now spends most of his time writing and his leisure time singing musical comedy opera. He has combined these interests in his latest work, the libretto for a musical entitled "Three Brides for Kasos," to be produced in Canada in the summer of 2005. He has raised a daughter, Delia, who is a graduate of Swarthmore College. He resides in New York, NY. |
