Mario Frangoulis Solo Concert with Baltimore Symphony

In his first solo appearance in the US, sensational Greek tenor Mario Frangoulis will perform with the entire Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in celebration of the Centennial of Christian Orthodoxy in Maryland. The performance will be part of the year-long 100th anniversary celebrations. A Maria Callas Prize winner, Mario Frangoulis’ passionate performances range from classical to pop.

Recently, Frangoulis was flown to Baltimore by the Centennial Committee to appear live on Maryland Public Televison during an airing of his own PBS special. Members of the Centennial Committe and the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annuniciation in Baltimore answered phones during MPT's pledge drive while Frangoulis urged viewers to call in with their donations in support for public television. He charmed the viewing audience, as well as the Committee in the studio with his humility and friendliness. A special treat was had by all when Frangoulis performed the title track from his newest CD live on MPT.
